How To Know If The Traveling Pastor Got An Attitude Problem

By Judy Sullivan

There are times when people are required to work together with a traveling pastor. If this is the case, it is only normal to know if the superior is someone who got an attitude problem. If the person can determine who is good-natured and who has a foul nature, then one can easily adapt to the situation. Here are some tips to know who has an attitude problem at the church.

The first thing to do is to know if the said priest is self-centered. There are lots of priests nowadays who are selfless but there are also those who only think about themselves. They do not care about other people's needs but they expect their needs to be attended to above anything else. It sometimes take precedence over that of the church's.

Just because the said professional works in a church does not mean that he or she is not prone to mistakes. The said professional really has an attitude problem if he or she does not show any signs of remorse when they make mistakes or when they are caught for their misdeeds. They will not even offer a heartfelt apology or ask for mercy for those things.

Being unable offer a heartfelt apology or ask for forgiveness might also be due to the fact that the said professional has a high blaming behavior. This is the kind of behavior that will just project all of a person's faults on to other people. This means that whatever happens, any mistake is never his or her fault.

It will be bad if they are unreliable too. The people at the church should be reliable, especially since they are being looked up to by the less unfortunate souls. If these souls cannot rely on the church, they will get lost even further. A professional who has an unreliable disposition should just be evicted from his or her position.

There are also those professionals who may be aware of the consequences of their actions but choose to ignore it. It is just like they do not even care that there are other people who will be affected by the actions that they take. They have little, if not zero, conscience. All they care about is their own well-being.

Pathological lying is also a trait of such professionals who have attitude problems. This means that they can lie if they consider this to be helpful to their image and if the lie will not be discovered. If the lie is discovered or followed up on, they will simply imply that the other person is wrong and that the lie was never said in the first place.

Someone who can rationalize easily can either be a good or a bad person. However, someone who use their rationalizing ability to twist conversations to gain at the expense of others surely have an attitude problem. If these people get trapped, they either keep on talking or change subjects. At times, they get angry.

There are many other signs that the person can check up on to see if the said traveling pastor has an attitude problem. If the person can do a good job at this, then he or she can easily avoid working with such professionals. It is better to be near a professional who is good-natured, after all.
