What To Learn About Bishop Charles Harrison Mason

Religions existed for so many years. They are built to assemble individuals who share the same belief with one another and observe some practices. There are some renown personalities who have made long lasting impression to so many organizations and people globally.

Establishing a great Church involves challenges, however. But Bishop Charles Harrison Mason have completely achieved results which other people recognized tough and overwhelming. He was the first senior Bishop of a specific Church and the founder as well. Born in the year of 1864, Mason has contributed to growing religion and faith of several people in various areas across United States. Although it started small, a lot of people recognize and appreciate of such Church.

As a child, he was heavily influenced by the religion that his parents instill on his mind. It was on the year 1879 wherein he joined a missionary and was later baptized as a Christian. Although he became a clergyman, he opposed such idea because he only wanted to stay as a lay member. Unfortunately, just like with other kids, he contracted a tuberculosis that spread fast during 1880.

Since great clinics and hospitals were not available in their communities at that time, patients have no other way but to resort on small medical center that only present small help. Jerry, who is Mason father, contracted the disease and meet his death, resulting the family to move to Arkansas. Without the solemn prayers of his siblings also mother, he would not able to overcome the disease.

At 27, he started his ministerial careers. After several years, he entered a specific Baptist College, but he decided to withdrew roughly after roughly three months because Charles was unsatisfied of the curriculum and methodology that the school practiced. His claimed was teachings were quite strong and liberal to emphasize the Word of God. Most people can say that he is dedicated to his faith.

He underwent a lot of travels, both in local and international territories. Bishop Mason was not really exclusive in his ministry, but he still preached in various churches. In addition to that, he preached at numerous places. In 1911, he established the first auxiliaries and departments of Church that concerns more on the young people and women alike.

When it concerns his personal life, he married Alice Saxton. But sadly, after two years, Saxton has decided to end their relationship because she does not agree on his ministerial life. A year after Saxton died because of illness, he married Lelia Washington and had seven children. It was on November 17, 1961, at 97, that he died and meet the Creator.

Similar with other experts, there are individuals who are inspired by his works. For such reason, they show some interest on reading his achievements and stories. This only go to show how excellent and impressive the life of Mason.
