New Fantasy Books To Read In 2016

Fantasy writers have a way of capturing your imagination and ensuring that you hold on to every one of their words. Fantasy books are known to contain this magical glue that is not only believable but memorable. Their classical titles are impossible to drop. You will reread the title once more and still find it fascinating. There are enough titles to keep readers occupied for the entire year.

Hawkins Scott steals the headline with his title The Library of Mount Char. It is the tale of a strange and unsettling family constituted through the abduction of children by a powerful and cruel foster father. In their years together, the children learn the magic used by their father to gain dominance. This serves as preparation for them to dominate the world. However, they have to fight amongst themselves and at the same time fight the world. The world has no idea that it is engaged in a family battle.

George Martin is the brain behind A Knight Of Seven Kingdoms. This is a series featuring a knight named Dunk who has a young squire called Egg. The book features incredible illustrations by Gary Gianni. Continuing with the reputation of the previous releases, this is another epic read.

Naomi Novik never disappoints in her creation of fantasy classics. Uprooted features an new world of magic and intrigues. You have to deal with a young girl who receives her magic lessons from a cold and distant magician. The riveting novel combines court intrigues with a haunted forest adventure. The author is gifted in creating a rich and incredible world.

The Five Season series features Every Age Must Come to an End, the work of Jemisin K. N. It is a tale of a mother who has to deal with a broken society in her search for a son lost in a useless war. She discovers a lot about the world that was hidden to her. Jemisin has produced an excellent title called Inheritance in the past. This is the continuation of her rich writing legacy.

Jim Butcher has been in the limelight with Dresden Files, a series that remains memorable. This series appears to have taken a break to pave way for The Cinder Spires. The newest title in this series is The Astronauts Windlass that will reward the anticipation and imagination of space lovers. This adventurous, fast paced and moving novel features incredible action and exciting space wars.

Romance is never far away whenever fantasy is mentioned. The Court of Thorns and Roses is the work of Sarah Maas who targets young readers with sufficient dose of romance. After a huntress fells the wrong wolf, she is captured by a faerie lord. In the ensuring events, she falls in love with the lord.

There are more titles in this shelf including Red Queen written by Aveyard Victoria, Archivist Wasp by Stace Nicole and Six Crows that is penned by Bardugo. Publishers are also dangling other titles promising a breathtaking year. With sequels and single titles to look forward to, there is enough for any reader.
